As an aside it really annoys me his artificial leg cost £20,000 . The manufactures should never be allowed to make such a profit on medical equipment its ridiculous .

we dont know how much of that is profit tho..also without making 'a' profit then companies would not invest in the technology that makes amazing feats like this possible.. keep on running!

Its the bio/pharmaceutical companies that have made it a very profitable industry , and they could quite easier afford to lower "prices" but its a been one of the big growth industry and shares in the last decade :(
R&D's one thing but to assist humanity and make a profit from it is a very sad thing indeed
