Anything exciting happening to you? SZFC just sold a 19yo 1,100 excellent defender for £250,000 and replaced him with an 18yo 700 passable for £10,000 leaving me with a healthy bank balance. Hopefully he'll level quickly and join all my other solids who should become excellents at some point this season. Not sure whether to cash in now or hang on till the following season and get minted from the sales of a load of formidables!

Drew a decent level V team in the cup so doubt there will be much progress for me this seaosn.

I found a pound coin and half a packet of Polos, that I didn't know were there, in my jacket pocket this morning.

I sold all my defender trainees and got about £500,000, it's all going to be plowed back into scorer trainees though, because after 1 year I'm getting rid of defence training.

Well, I've got a very weak team against me in the Cup first round, so should give them a whipping. Hope to do better in the Cup this year than last season... knocked out in the second round, which was poor. Made the fourth round the year before, which was good - hope to emulate that this year.

Finances are looking healthy again - picked up £60K, half in supporters fees, half for my 2nd placed finish in the League this year... so now back to £100K in the black.

What else? Will start the season with a 5-0 roll-over (which won't please the fans... and which makes me wonder - will I pick up training?), because the side relegated from Level IV has sold all its players, 'cos the guy is giving up hattrick having just become a father of twins.

Other than that, the side is definitely looking stronger, especially with my new formidable (5,000 TSI) midfielder. Will train passing for the next 4-5 weeks, and then switch back to training scoring.

Promotion is definitely a realistic aim this season... really only one serious rival for the title now... so it should be a good battle all season.

well i survived my relegation playoff and remain in series V. Another year of consolodation i think.

Also might we worth knowing that come Jan 05 the cost of adding to your arena is gonna double in price. We wise to do it before.

Rochford FC are in the cup and I am hoping to get passed the first round so I am playing my best side and keeping my fingers crossed. Am just in the black and will buy a new solid coach after my first home game to really get my training programme in gear.Like MTS i will probably get tonked first match in as I am playing the team who finished first and I will have a team of trainees in.

In the cup which could be a close game or a beating for me.

Trainees coming along nicely, making much needed profit and bored during the off-season.

If anyone is interested chaps I just put this bloke up for 2k
will lose a mid & a winger this season too so I get closer to 22 players

Economy adjustments

General comments

The HT-Team always monitors the global Hattrick economy to make sure that it is healthy. Based on the data available, we adjust the economy in the season break. Please note that we mainly look at the underlying economy, not so much the fluctuations on the transfer market. We would prefer a transfer market that did not fluctuate too much. However, a lot of factors determine how the market behaves and we cannot fully control the transfer market, so there will always be fluctuations on the market.

Instead, we concentrate on the two most important factors for ensuring that the transfer market is as stable as possible: A healthy global economy (the amount of money available in the game), and a set of rules for the transfer market that does not change too dramatically. Last season we made some major changes to the transfer rules, and those rules will, on the whole, remain for many season to come.

The global economy however, needs some fine tuning each season. It must not be over-heated and it must not be starving.

Measures for season 24

The global economy of Hattrick has been rather stable this past season. The average team now has 168 667 £ in the treasury, which is only marginally less than one season ago when it was 172 667 £. The big drop happened in last season's break (when it dropped to 152 667 £ ), while the economy has spent this past season slowly, slowly recovering.

However, next season teams will generally have higher salaries (as they always do, mostly because the average team gets slightly better, and therefore gets higher player salary costs). The salary formulas have also changed (as we explained in the HT 6.6 release). Then there will be a change to the cup system which has economic effects.

Having evaluated the current situation and all changes, we have come to the conclusion that in order to continue to have a stable economy in the game, we need to increase the income side somewhat for the upcoming season.

The general economic adjustments to take effect in the upcoming season are as follows.
Spectator income per sold ticket will increase:
Terrace places from 3.3 £ to 3.7 £
Regular seats from 5.0 £ to 5.3 £
Seats under a roof from 6.7 £ to 7.3 £
Seats in VIP lounge from 16.67 £ to 18.33 £
This will give an overall increase of ticket income of slightly less than 10%.

Sponsor income will be 10% higher.

The prize money for series positions (but not the promotion bonus) will be doubled from their current values. The cup prize money will also be doubled and start being given out two rounds earlier than before. This will, of course, not have any practical effect until towards the end of season 24. The cup prize money will be as follows::
Cup winner: 533 333.33 £
Losing finalist: 266 666.67 £
Losing semifinalists: 133 333.33 £
Losing quarter finalists: 66 666.67 £
Losing eighthfinalists: 33 333.33 £

Along with these changes, we would like to give you advanced warning about a change that will not occur until the season after the upcoming one:

From season 25 (which starts late January 2005), the costs for expanding your arena will be doubled compared to today. In the season after that, it will increase even more. The reason for this change is that these prices have fallen behind while all other costs have gone up since season 1 when these prices were set.

Cool... thanks for letting me know!

Right, Roots Hall will be turned into the Maracana at the end of this season... 100,000 capacity should make me future-proof!

i know what you mean, i was thinking of improving my very own Roots Hall in line with supporters etc, However now ive seen this it may have to be redeveloped beyond recognition.

No gates = no income = no savings. Bah!

Perhaps I'll have to forget any dreams of promotion and concentrate on selling enough defenders to up the capacity. Should have 8 or 9 excellent defenders to sell come week 10, let's say £200,000 a time, should get us a reasonable increase.

I upped the Golden cross arena from 11k to 19k the start of this season & went nearly 200k in debt. From the bigger gates I got I am now just in the black, Just bought a new Solid keeper for 140K so will have to wait 3 home games to get the coach now!

My reserve keeper up for sale for £1111 as I just bought a Solid so my first choice passable now drops to reserve.

Better save like mad and then build a big stadium at the end of the season!
The plans are in place. A one off build to take us to 50,000 will cost us £626,000. We have £40,000 in the bank and 6 solid defenders of 19-21 years old who will all be sold when they get to excellent (one of them is already 3,000+ TSI so should fetch a fair price) and that should fund it.

We already have 8 passable defenders as well so won't have to outlay too much to continue maximum defensive training
