How do I start about Saturday's trip to Carlisle? I had a great day? Yes, but it barely sufficient to say just that. Superb, brilliant, memorable etc etc, might just about do it justice!

Despite loads of people questioning my sanity about doing the long trek to the frozen North (there was even snow on the hills outside of Carlisle) especially with a plastered leg!! I had missed out on Crewe for this reason & wasn't going to get talked out of it again!

I was fortunate enough to travel in comfort with JamesTheSuperBlue, his family, a family friend & SUFCJoe. Comfort & lots of laughs made the 330+ mile journey fly past, I'm just glad I didn't have to do the driving. Top marks for Mike who drove the entire journey, as I would have needed a crate of Red Bull to drive all that way! Cheers Mike.

The game itself was brilliant, especially the way we ripped them apart in the first half & stood up to their bully boy tactics in the second. Superb!!

One last bit, I cannot express my gratitude enough for all the help I was given or offered by so many people, many I had never met before. It made my life a lot easier, so thank you all who helped me.

I've put links below to a few of my photo's of yesterday, so feel free to re-live it again. Re-live the helicopter, which was their idea of pre-match entertainment & remember what a sh!t hole their ground was too. I've even included a few of the celebrations too!! I didn't include a few dodgy photo's of JamesTheSuperBlue or his brothers! I will leave that to them to do!

I promise I will learn how to do this properly soon, honest. :dim:

Glad you preserved my dignity for me! Breakfast at Peterborough Tesco cafe comes in at Highlight no.2 behind the match itself :D

Why was the breakfast such highlight? I know there were teams of mountaineers planning their ascent up my breakfast, which top class, BTW!!

Looks like I'm going to hit the 1000 mark before you!! :finger:

Lets see if I've got the hang of this picture posting lark!! This photo just sums up Saturday, but then again Clarkey is one on several whole-hearted, never-say-die players!

If I had a time machine, I would be back in Carlisle at 4.50pm. That was such a sweet moment!!

BTW, 1000 posts & I never have much to say for myself!!:whistling:
