Hendrie back in the mix for Blues

“He will come into the reckoning unless we see something which suits both parties.

“But at the moment he’s with us and I quite like what I see.”

Not the most ringing endorsement.

Can only be positive, he provides cover / competition for Coker at wingback and other options down the left wing. From what I saw briefly of him he’s better going forward than defending, so possibly cover for Kightly too?

If anyone can turn his career around it’s SCP

Good luck to him

If you are looking for someone to advise a young player on how to be a very good left back then you can't do much better than CP. Hopefully he can help him turn it around.

And there is still the matter of what formation will C.P. be considering for next season?

We have seen the 5-3-2 formation work for us at times ...... but when teams change their way of playing to nullify our formation we can be on the "back foot" and haven't always been able to get back into the game.

Under Phil Brown I felt that other managers made changes at half-time that often saw us struggle in the 2nd half - perhaps things will change with C.P. This is where I think an assistant manager has a key role to play on match days - analysing what is happening on the pitch and talking to C.P. as the game goes on.
