PB said it's an initial 32 days but can be extended to 93, if that's 93 from the the day he arrived he wouldn't be eligible for the play off's, is that right or is there a way round it ?

Sure we had the same issue with Piggott last season, so sure it'll be ok IF we're not promoted automatically

Ive just read that Stephen Hendrie will be returning to Southend on loan from Monday. Hopefully he will be another option and able to play for Monday nights game with Burton.

Good news surely.

Yes, but where to play him? Cokes has his place back by the look of things.

Agreed, but still another option open for us, just incase Phil decides to make the odd change or two in the line up.... not that he ever does that of course!

With Coker and White back from injury and Hendrie's loan extended, Phil will be able to make the transition to his next match-winning ploy of a back 7 of O'Neill, White, Bolger, Barrett, Thompson, Hendrie and Coker and a front 3 of Barnett, Hunt and Mooney. With no midfield, it removes the danger of Deegan and Timlin getting booked or sent off.:winking:

I believe he was not our player for this week, so we will get an extra game if needed. If we do the same again later on this might be a way of making him available for the play-offs. Will very much depend on the next month of course as there is some real competition at left back.

Prefer Hendrie to Coker, from what I've seen, especially if we revert to the 3-5-2 system.

Why have we got a under 21 side and then loan somebody else are ours no good then and as far as promoting goes you need manager that plays his best side without massive changes it seems trying to keep everyone happy

Good a player as he is, not sure of the point, with Coker/Hendrie/McClaughlin and Worrall all pushing for one spot on the left if PB stick with the wing backs.

Could see Coker with Hendrie in front of him in a 4-4-2 with McClaughlin or Worrall on the right.

Attacking left backs moving to left wing rarely works as the attributes needed are so different. It's completely different to beat a full-back with pace or skill than it is to do overlapping runs or exploit space in behind the defender. We've tried it several times in the past and the most successful I'd say was Nicky Nicolau. Hows that for damning with faint praise?
