for the last three or four days our back garden has been visited by a male robin who has discovered the garden mirror on a wall at the back of the arbor. He spends most of his time sitting on the arbor singing his head off or fluttering frantically in front of the mirror. The advice from the resident bird expert in our road is that he thinks its a female and its a courting ritual. I said to Mrs RHB "why do you think he keeps at it?", her answer - "he's like all blokes with a hard on and trying to pull, blindly stupid".

Probably true. The male of any species are stupid and I am one.

Meant to reflect light and give the impression of space. Also a draw for rampant robins.
