Someone has told me it's legal to use 2,500 litres of vegetable oil in a Diesel vehicle, thus evading tax! Surely this can't be right.

Any experts on this?

I wouldn't have though it'd work unless you modify the engine? Then I can see how that would fit.

Oh no, I had an old Landrover Discovery and that would run on old chip oil. Trouble was, it stank like what it was so not too wonderful humping down the street wafting up cooked chips for all to sniff.

I believe it to be true but either your will end up smelling like an old chip shop or you will need a conversion kit.

That is a massive fuel tank.

What do you drive, a cross channel ferry?
