Whilst we do have a reasonable run of games in terms of difficulty, has anybody looked at our rivals remaining fixtures and the degree of difficulty they face. Are they playing each other for example? If someone, with the time to do the exercise, could work out each of our rivals probable points total then we would have a better idea of the number of points we need.

I think there are 9 clubs in it for the promotion/play off places; I have included Posh and Roachdale who are below us.
Obvious 1st 3+ pointer is our next away game at London Road next Tuesday; I have doubts about Posh, R'dale, Fleetwood and Bradford being able to sustain the run in, maybe Scunny also starting to crumble.
ALL to play for AND i would fancy us over two legs against any off them.........................

In summary we need just 1 more point than the 7th placed team!

I quite like that spelling .....................:smiles:

So, based on last year's table, we are now officially safe!

We've really got a chance, this year.

When you compare our squad to last season, we have four or five players of higher quality, a stable management set-up (no rumours of Bolton) and a less complicated run-in!

And Leonard hasn't just been injured for 3 months

How many points do you feel will be required to bag a play off spot?

I'm thinking around 74 points will be about right. Competition is thought this year so could be slightly more.

With plenty of below midtable teams still to play we have to be in with a chance of achieving this.

Great time to he a shrimper.

Lol still a great great time to be a shrimper? See your back to being negative on your new thread
