Iphone/Itunes problem

All,

I've got an issue where my missus' Iphone won't connect to Itunes on my laptop - however my Ipod does no problem (with the same cable).

However I CAN connect up the Iphone via my old desktop to an older version of Itunes.

Any ideas? I've tried everything on the Apple site when I googled the problem.

check that both your iphone and itunes are up to date. speak to the apple online support people - they should be able to take a look.

That the thing, my Itunes is the very latest version on the laptop and it doesn't work and my old desktop is version 10 (I think) and it does.
