Right, I got a new laptop a few months ago, therefore all stored music for me & the Mrs is on my old desktop (which my parents have now got).

Seeing as they live the other end of the country & I'm not seeing them until 2nd week of March to transfer all my old files across, I have a question regarding my iPod & iTunes.

The Mrs has a number of songs she wants to load from her iPod onto her new blank version of iTunes on the new laptop. Does anybody know if you can do this? She's got a iPod Nano bought last autumn. Did Apple maybe try and stop this to stop illegal file sharing?

I thought there was a way you could do it & downloaded a piece of software called ephPod, but this doesn't seem to work with the Nano.

Ideas/suggestions much appreciated!
Cheers.

Nope cant be done - at least not that i know of- she can keep all her songs on her ipod, and plug it into the computer and play them like that (providing she turns offf automatic update on itunes otherwise it will wipe the ipod completly) whuich is basically the same though

Thats what i do anyways - saves disc space

theres an application on the mac called ipodrip but don't know about a pc version.
