We're having a discussion at work about tonight's live Championship game on Sky. Most of us reckon Coventry vs WBA qualifies as a derby game, but there is a dissenting voice.

So i now put this question to the wise people of SZ.com...

Both in the West Midlands, but quite a few miles apart:

Just over 27 miles to be exact. A 'derby' match isn't always dictated by distance in miles, i.e. Southend v. Col Ewe is a 'derby', as is Ip$hite v. Norwich, both further in distance than Cov v. WBA, but I wouldn't go with tonight's match being a derby, I don't think.

They're only about 25 miles apart I reckon, so it's a derby alright.
For comparison, our local derbies are with Colchester (40 miles) and Leyton Orient (35 miles)

The fella at work who disagreed just phoned his West Brom supporting old man and he reckons it is a derby game.

Let down by his own flesh and blood :hilarious:
