Forget RobM I fail to see how an 18+ pointless tag on a post marries up with the instructions for the forum which clearly state

Now you might think you are being very, very clever but I fail to see how a football club supporters board which purports to have a reasonable relationship with a football club and a large major employer in the area both of which are family oriented tie up with condoning threads of this kind. There are AMPLE alternatives all around the internet and in my experience 99% of them require positive age identification to join them. If they can do it why can't the Zone. If the Zone can't or won't do it why, please explain, do they find the content of this thread entirely acceptable and in keeping with the instructions for the forum.

Dumbing down. Other people may do it and I may just have to accept the occasional poster from Canvey or Basildon turns up on here. I see no reason why the Zone shouldn't stand for something better than this. Freedom of speech is no substitute for quality of board.

Why don't you get real and try to act the grown up rather than the big I am ?

My daughter is 11 - she uses the internet as often as possible before and after school, sometimes for homework, sometimes for MSN, Skype etc. I'm under no illusions about what she might find that the various net controls I employ might not pick up. However I would quite like my 11 year old daughter to remain as an 11 year old CHILD for as long as possible without me adding the Zone to the list of banned sites. Just because the country, especially the media, has gone downhill and is morally bankrupt doesn't mean it's right to extend that here.

As I said before freedom of speech I'm all for. Upholding of some decent morals and letting kids be kids again for as long as possible I'm all for. This is a football fans internet forum. If you want some cheap thrills I could PM you (not that I will) dozens of sites you probably would never have dreamed about visting and you may even be shocked at some of the content.

To be honest I think I'll just do what you want and give the board (SZFC excepted) a break for a few months. I've got better things to do with my life than argue with people that don't want to listen and frankly wouldn't give a damn.

Not at all your as welcome on here as the next person, my point is we cant protect kids but what we can do is if there is an issue EDUCATE them in the right manor.
