First it was the giant prawn and shell maze in Vic circus, then we lost slags wall and now this.

Our landscape is losing important parts of its rich heritage.

Shame. For years whenever we have looked across that estuary it has acted as a warning sign. 'Beyond this point lays the town of Gillingham'.

Never felt anything on Chalkwell beach, and it took about 8 seconds before we heard the explosion!

Duly trotted off down the seafront with SLR and big lens. Took loads of pics, all a waste of time because of low cloud. Doh.

Heard a loud boom at work which is not unusual tbh as I work next to the airport, only twigged when we were talking about this during lunch that it was at 11 o'clock.
