It is officially World Cup Month

Nice to see that the Iranian team did not sing their national anthem as a protest against the treatment of Iranian Women by their Islamic government regime.

Iranian women are banned from attending matches and entering stadiums in Iran, good to see some of them made it to the Qatar World Cup and are in the stadium.

Full Time

England 6 Iran 2

Good start for England in their first game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup

Do not forget Iran are ranked 20th in the world

If that pen sets a precedent for what's a pen, then they'll have to award one pretty much every time ball goes in the box

Some farcical situations in that game - the delay for the Iran goalkeeper, the penalty at the end - but a very convincing win that sends out a statement to the rest of the competition, albeit against substandard opponents. Reminded me a bit of the Panama game at the last World Cup. Good to see the goals being spread around too. What a player Bellingham is/is going to be.

Ranked 20th in the World at the moment.

So they did bottle the rainbow armband! How pathetic and hypocritical can the FA and the players get. The one time that I would have supported it on a (global stage) and they blew it.

No doubt, when they get knocked out, they'll come home and remind us with there virtue signalling again, what a bad Country we are.
