It is officially World Cup Month

Belgium were awful. I feel a bit bad for Lukaku because he's inevitably going to get most of the blame for Belgium's exit as he missed a couple of sitters at the end but the reality is Belgium created next to nothing before he came on. He should have done better with his chances but at least he made some chances, everyone else seemed clueless.

Graeme Souness pushing conspiracy theories that Japan's second should have been disallowed, he's complaining that FIFA "aren't releasing the pictures" and that he thinks the ball went out. Instead of celebrating an upset he's just moaning.

Commentators during the match thought it went out - they showed a replay at the time relatively close up which was the best view - and then we never saw that angle / closeness again.

The other angles that we saw during VAR review were IMHO inconclusive, so goal standing is correct - but it's odd we didn't see the best camera view again

It looks in to me, someone has posted an example video of a ball that looks far more off than the Japan one but when you move overhead it's clearly in. Maybe not completely conclusive but it's enough for me to think ITV's conspiracies were a bit stupid.
