and that's exactly why I think we'll be keen to agree on something rather than let it go to tribunal

Payne you can understand but for Bentley we need to hold out for as much as possible.

Huddersfield.........ouch:sad:hope he does well at the club, not the move I'd want if I was in his position:stunned:

Disagree, good move for him, he will get games there i would have thought, instead of aiming higher and finishing up sitting on the bench.

Why not, manager who is highly rated as a coach & was Klopps assistant at Dortmund.....I think they might surprise a few next year & they have a bit of cash too

To be honest I really don't care how he does now unless there is some kind of sell on or other performance rated clauses that would profit us. Like I've said before he hasn't really done much for us as a club except start to show his potential then leave.

Can't see Huddersfield ever going up a division, think they are at their level now:smile:

I'd like to see Payne do well ... just out of common decency towards my fellow man .... and also so that I can say "he used to play for Southend" should his name come up in conversation in the pub/on the bus/in court/in prison etcetera ....

...... I'm still a little perplexed by the question as to whether Payne can play at Division 2 level ....... and I guess we are now going to find out.

Anyway, bottom line is good luck to him.

Payne joins Huddersfield

Just been announced that Payne will join Huddersfield officially on the 1st of July.

Compensation will be due.

Dissapointing but not unexpected news.

Now it's on his twitter account. With him even wearing the kit.

Personally I think it's a bad move for him. Not the club that I think he will shine at. But lets see.
