Jake Hyde Cannot Play For Us Against Wrexham!

Interesting - I had thought there would be a bit of time lag before any more loan signings.

That should help to reduce the odds of us (Southend United) getting off to a slow or poor start for the first 5 or 6 games.

Interesting if he can’t play against Wrexham and what you describe occurs would it count as the match he misses??
My simple reasoning is that players are suspended from playing while injured from playing so possibly it is a hope.

Didn't one of our previous managers make a faux pas and allowed a player we had loaned out to play against us snd yes, he scored...

He did indeed - made his debut for us against Northampton in Nov 14 - played 1 more game - went back and played against us for Northampton in Jan 15.

iirc the 1 more game didn’t go the distance because he was sent off - at Wycombe?

If Hyde cannot play against Wrexham then the same should apply to Dalby against us as whichever way you look at it Hyde was a part of the transfer deal pertaining to Dalby .

Dalby won’t play much anyway so wouldn’t worry about that.

Not sure that's correct.

Ones a transfer and ones a loan.

Yes, and, Wrexham's attitude might quite reasonably be....if you want him to play against us it is easily arranged....he can go to you on a free transfer and you can take over his contract and wages.
He is on loan to us essentially because we cannot afford to bring him in on a transfer.
If he was to score twenty plus goals for us and we were to be promoted at the expense of Wrexham I woulds imagine their equivalent of SZ would provide a lot of interesting reading!

My point was that Dalby is a straight transfer so we cant dictate it he plays against us or not.

In the end, Hyde’s loan was separate to the Dalby transfer, so we have zero say over whether he plays against us or not. That is now up to Wrexham.

However, Wrexham have all the say over whether or not Hyde plays against them, as ultimately he is still a Wrexham player.

The most important thing to have is a no recall. With both clubs going neck and neck for the title we don’t want calling back with 6 games to go.
Can we send him back with 6 games to go? Already 18 points clear we may as well save the money

No every point we finish above Wrexham will be money well spent. Players next summer will happily sign for less than they are being offered in L1.
