2/3 years ago he'd have been a superb signing, of that there is no doubt. But we have seen with Freedman, when a player of that age picks up niggly injuries its difficult to shift. Just think back to the Freedman that first joined us, compared to this season. Big difference.

Worth a gamble, could potentially be a Barnard replacement.

The rumours are that he is off to Cheltenham.

If you mean us Ricey there is no chance he is not rated by Boothroyd and would be about 5th in line for a 1st team striker place at best, having said that he would still be a threat at this level and would be a good siging for you boys if his salary demands were not too high.

Boothroyd seems happy with his strikers although we may sign Lisbie before the end of the month on a permanent deal, he clearly wants to join us and has already turned down Millwall and QPR this month according to reports.
Central midfield seems to be where we need to improve we were looking at taking Solomon Taiwo on loan from Cardiff but he is currently not available due to injuries at his club for the time being, poor old Solano is still with us trying to win a deal to play but that is unlikely to be completed until next week if ever. At least he is getting to know the town having been seen out and about in Colchester during the evenings, mostly in the company of his father!

None of us really know the financial mess we are in, so if it's as bad as I personally think, then players like these would not be signed because of the wages involved. We will probably go for the cheap gamble types like Scott Spencer.

Scored 3 against us I think at rh couple of seasons ago, would be a good signing maybe till the end of the season, thus avoiding the douggie scenario. Like him tho, intelligent player.

2-3 seasons ago he was scoring goals for fun. Obviously age or injuries have caught up with him. (similarities with one of our players).
