It appears to me that after a trial with the Championship side AFC Bournemouth, Jamie Grossart has signed permanently for the Cherries.

Jamie had previously been on loan to Harlow Town where he made one appearance before joining the Dorest based side on trial.

Not officially been announced so will wait to see the terms of the contract and any potential transfer fee for us.

EDIT: Just spoken to Jamie and it appears that he is only at Bournemouth until the end of the season and has been there since Feb.

Jamie said that he wants to get a pro deal at Bournemouth at the end of the season. May still have an offer at Southend.

Who needs Chris Phillips when you have SUFCGoals! Only kidding!

Another number to the impressively long list of goalkeepers produced at the club in recent years.

They are as follows

Dean Gerken- Long EFL career mainly at Ipswich
Nathan McDonald- Highly thought of but has spent most of his career further down at clubs such as Braintree and Enfield Town.
Daniel Bentley - no introduction needed
Luke Chambers - Wales U21 international, no idea what's happened to him now.
Ted Smith - England youth international. One of the best produced now owns glove brand
Nathan Bishop - England U19 international Man United, on loan at Mansfield
Harry Seadan - England youth international, now released (on trial at Derby County). Also had trials at Prem clubs including Arsenal whilst with us
Josh Sims - left at 16 or 18 to join Blackpool played in the EFL for the Tangerines, now at Spuds Welling
Dan Confrey - Wales youth international, was at Concord not sure where he's at now.
Callum Taylor - Northern Ireland youth international (had lots of trials at EFL and Premier League clubs and even in N.Ireland too) now at Bath Uni I believe
George Murray-Jones - Left at 16, in the Man City academy now. Not sure if he's had an international call up. Has played 8 U18 Premier League games for them (only 17 now)

Others include;

Josh Bexon - was at Dover

Not sure if I've missed anyone else but a long line of keepers from the academy!

Dean Gerken's long EFL career was mainly at Colchester, in two spells.

Dan Confrey is playing for Benfleet at non-league Step 6.

Bournemouth can’t sign players outside of the transfer window so was he released?
