From the match report in Cheltenham's local rag after we tonked them 4-0 at home in April:

"Former Robins player, first-team coach and head of youth John Brough is now involved in the backroom staff at Southend and he would have given boss Paul Sturrock plenty of inside information."

I never heard anything about this when it happened. I've done a little research and found that he left his post of U18s coach at Cheltenham on 28th Feb, apparently a cost-cutting measure on their part. SUFC mentioned nothing about him joining our coaching staff afterwards though (surprise, surprise!). The first I knew about it was today when he magically appeared in my Football Manager research file as a coach after the Cheltenham researcher sent him my way. Still can't find anything about it on the web though.

Anyone know what his role in our backroom team is?
