John Egan

Brentford appear to be assembling a very good squad. If they get Bentley too, they'll have a pretty decent trio of Bentley, Egan and Sawyers. Definitely a club heading in the right direction and a good move for Egan.

His agent did approach PB way back in January, but alas another one we can't afford.

They are some good signings! might look at what they are as an outside bet next season

EDIT: Just looked awful odds 10/1 for promotion I'd want more than that

Good player - pity we didn't manage to sign him. Loved his goal away at Scunny one miserable evening game with those crazy yellow and black striped away shirts.

And good news for us in that Egan was a good player for Gills - and now we don't have to face him in the league, league cup or Paint Trophy.

He's made the sub bench (wearing the 14 shirt). Wondering if we will see two ex shrimpers on the pitch tonight at the same time, as Robson-Kanu is also in the starting lineup for Wales.

Update: Egan never got some pitch time & Robson-Kanu was subbed after 45 minutes.

Brentford reject £2 million from Sheff Utd for him.

Joins Ryan Leonard at Sheffield United as their new club record signing at £4 million.

Sheffield United flying high in the Premier League, and no team having conceded fewer goals than them. Egan has been ever present at the back, and recently captained the Ireland team. Great to see him doing so well. He was quality for us and has done fantastically well.

Sent off for a second bookable offence in Sheff Utd’s 3-0 loss to Newcastle.

Isaac Hayden started for Newcastle also.
