I though all yellow cards were removed after a time .But I am not sure but nothing on the main site about a ban.

It wasn't White that was yellow carded at Bristol rovers despite what the commentary etc thought. So no ban... I think?

I thought it was White who was booked.

Official site is showing him on 9 league bookings and one cup booking.

Where's Mick or Eddie Melito when you need them!

Suspensions are automatically imposed for accumulating 5, 10, or 15 cautions in a season. There are cut-off dates for receiving a sanction as a result of accumulated cautions. They are:

CAUTIONS CUT OFF DATES (Inclusive)
5 31 December
10 2nd Sunday in April
15 End of Season

For example, a player earning their fifth caution of the season on or after 1st January would not earn any ban. However, if they received ten cautions by the second Sunday in April, a ban would apply. Players who receive 20 or more cautions in a season shall be required to attend a Regulatory Commission.

So if he survives Wimbledon then he 'should' be ok for the rest of the season (I think!).

Yes I have dug up the same rules And yes any player picking up 4 bookings before christmas but non up to the new years day games can then recive up to 9 yellows up to the 2 nd of april after that he can pick up a tenth booking without a ban . And can carry them through to the season end . So i beleve White is ok .

So, worst case scenario (cos that's what we do on this site), and White has to serve a suspension...wouldn't a certain Mr Prosser just fill the gap nicely??

White is a right-back.

Prosser is a left-sided central defender, who can do a job at left-back.

I'd have thought Thompson would be the more obvious choice, assuming Auger still isn't trusted. Maybe Egan to right-back as he seems fairly versatile?

Yes I agree that Thompson is a better option than Prosser to play at right back.

just wonder if Brown would try to accomodate Prosser though , so as you say , possibly moving Egan or Sokolik ?

Just checked the Stats section of the club site and they're showing John White on 9 yellows in the league and 1 in a cup competition. That adds up to 10 yellows and a ban to me unless there are rules that I'm unaware of. :(

Good news.

Can the club please clarify why they show him as on 10 bookings (9 league +1 cup) then on the official site.

The Southend website says that John White was cautioned in the 23rd minute at Bristol Rovers as was John-Joe O'Toole.

If that was not the case, he is on NINE yellows; if it is, he is on TEN.

I was there that night and White should have been booked but Atkinson did, case of mistaken identity.

The club don't control the stats that go on the official site.

We obviously (and sensibly) chose not to appeal that mistaken identity.
