Ouch - that's bad.

I tore my ankle ligaments playing against Stambridge and was told that the recovery was longer than if I had broken the ankle.

We will miss JW but hope that Ferdinand and Kyprianou can step up when called upon.

Is Matsuzaka still around, because if Turner picks up another knock then we are at bare bones in the CB position - no Lenny to call on now!

To be honest, I think this is the best we could have hoped for from a bad situation. I thought his season was going to be over

What does it say?

Embedded tweets don't work for me.

Scan results have shown John White has sustained ankle ligament damage and will be sidelined for six weeks.

Get well soon, @jonnywhite25

Nasty, painful injury, poor JW! In some ways probably worse than a break.
Get better soon John

I’ve had this injury before. Was told by the specialist that it is worse than a break healing wise. Was 12 weeks before I could play again.

Admitidily I was older than JW, I was 35,and frighteningly it was 34 years ago. Where did that time go! :omg:

treatment and rehabilitation has come on no end in that time, and I'm assuming you had a job to do at the same time as recovering? The club will be putting several hours a day into this if needed and plenty of gadgets to get players back asap

What sort of gadgets?

Will they have him sleeping in an oxygen tank?

Powell: "John will be a big miss. He's a key player for us moving forward. He’s very level headed, he’s a good trainer and he’s made a real impression on me since I’ve been here."
