Will be on ITV1 this Sunday as his Bishops Stortford side take on Northampton Town. Will be good to see him play again and see how he's getting on

Herd starting at left back. Kyle Asante on the bench too.

Both side could be playing each other in Conference next season if both side carry on where they are in their league x

Kane Ferdinand also playing for Northampton. Hattrick of ex Shrimpers on display!

Bishop S. 5-3-2 system is not working, if Northampton wasn't crap, they would be 3-0 up by now! They have to change it to 4-4-2 to stand an chance of winning!

LOL I forgot how limited Herd was. Nice enough lad, but jesus wept how did he get minutes with us!

Ferdinand looks a class above everyone on the pitch.

He looks great don't he, real box-to-box midfielder. Our midfield is great at the moment but would certainly have Kane back in a heartbeat. Wonder if we were given the option to take him on loan first?

Have they mentioned Southend on the commentary yet? Surely they should mention Herd against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Not that I've heard of. We just got a mention when Asante came on as a sub. Now a part time van driver.

He was quite bad wasn't he. Couldn't defend for toffee. Was okay for the last 10 though.

When we had him I could never understand why so many on here didn't rate him, now I know why.

Seems to have filled out quite a bit too - short and stocky now, never the greatest combination for a modern day footballer.

Thought he was very limited when he played for us and he was only liked by the fans as he came through the youth system.
