Would appear back in action - scored one and made one for Barnsley's U23s today.

Not sure we expected him to be back to full fitness so quickly. Maybe one who might re-sign in January?

Well that didn’t work out for us! He was a good player and a much better player than Sterling has turned out so far.

Think there is more than meets the eye with regards what happened to Jordan Green...?

His Instagram posts as soon as his loan was cancelled was telling, also MM was rather unforthcoming when questioned about it.

What did he put up?

I wasn’t taken in with Green if I’m honest. For an attacking talent given licence to do what he wanted going forward there was a distinct “flatters to deceive” that is common in so many pacy wingers. He didn’t produce a single goalscoring moment / assist or goal in his games.

Personally I prefer ANG and he’s a permanent signing and Olyinka is miles ahead of him also.

The trouble is that we only have Olyinka until January I think.

Yeah I know that most people will think Arsenal will look to put him into another club in Jan but it may depend on what they wanted him to gain from the experience....

It may be they wanted to see how he responds to games where his side doesn’t dominate possession, or how he reacts to having to do the ‘dirty’ side of the game.

It may be that they like what he’s having to do and work with and they may like how MM managed him.....also, these clubs think very long term and him dipping into more than one club or jumping out of a difficult situation at Southend, may not be what they wanted out of the loan. Afterall, results / performances or relegation to Southend is not a concern to Arsenal at all. They will think only of what sort of player they get back. That may help us.

I do hope you are right. I had hoped that Olyinka, Kyle Taylor, Demi and a fit Macca would give us a decent engine room, sufficient to boost our win ratio with the inclusion of a forward who could score goals. Looking at that dispassionately now, I realise I was probably taking out of my arse the way our season is going.

His replacement was Sterling though and that was a significant downgrade to the squad.

I also think it was (and is) important to get senior players in who aren't tainted by three years of losing. Other than the injured McCormack we just don't have that.

So whilst I wouldn't necessarily disagree with your assessment of him (and ANG and Olayinka) I do feel he is a loss to the squad.

What did he put up?

About 1 or 2 days after his loan was cancelled he posted a selfie with a smiley face emoji and a football emoji attached...then a few days after that posted a pic of him back training with Barnsley..thought he was injured..?

And now he is playing u23 football ? Also MM when questioned by CP about Jordan pretty much just changed the subject.

Just bouncing around Wiki and according to Jordan's page he's now playing for Ramsgate in the Isthmian South East.

After his loan spell with us I thought National League South was a bit low for him and I think the same again now. Are there injuries holding him back?

I think he had some mental struggles and left the game (apart from playing for SE Dons for leisure).

Well I wish him well if the case. I did a little digging after my post and I did see an article with some quite blunt quotes from Neil Harris.

“Jordan Green hasn’t been involved since Sutton away for various reasons and won’t be involved again for the football club."

“He is training with us in the group, but he is not going to play for me again, I expect certain standards within the group.

“Jordan has trained absolutely fine, he is free to leave and find regular football but he is not going to play for us again at the club, we have nothing more to say.”

Not the most compassionate of last words but NH would have spoken in that way if he'd known anything.
