Have to say, brilliant result from Brizzle even in the freezing cold. We played really well overall, but slacked somewhat in the beginning of the first half. Cracking goal by Marky Gower to make it 2-1. Should have scored more tho with chances from both Gray and Dudfield in the second half.

Have to admit tho, some of the chants by other Southend fans aimed at Agogo were a bit harsh. And I wasnt very pleased about the South Stand seating for us fans. Hardly any protection by stewards as this stand was shared by both sets of supporters. A few of them had a go at us when Rovers missed the penalty by some supid comments aimed at them. We were only separated by a sheet of green material covering some of the seating. That was the downside to the night, in my opinion.
And some poor bird got locked in the toilets as well. Me and another woman tried to give the door a good kicking to let her out, to no avail. Hope she got out ok tho!

Overall, great evening and well worth going to.

and you forgot to mention the most inept display of refereeing since, well, for a long time. Even worse IMO than at the Vetch last season (at least then the Lino was the main culprit)

Just got back too, ref was a joke and Gower's goal was an absolute screamer!

Comedy moment when the fans asked tilly the score and he said 2-0

I thought the ref was ok too! No complaints except he was conned a lil bit for the pen but i've seen em given before and will again i expect.

To be fair Barrett (Not Spinner, like it says on SSN) left his leg out and 9 players out of 10 would have tripped over that leg, me included and therefore he had to give it. Yes it was harsh but they tend to be given more times than not.

I was a definate pen last night. The only major decision he got wrong was awarding the freekick against Bentley which subsequently led to their goal.
