I think if he’d stayed until the end of the season he’d still be under contract now. Wasn’t there a limited window of opportunity to claim breach of contract ? Water under the bridge now but not paying the players probably cost more in potential transfer fee for this one player than the entire wage bill. Add it to the unnecessary expenditure on barristers, HMRC VAT late payment fines, Court fees, late account filing fines as an avoidable complete waste of money. Now our leader is like a swivel eyed mad general urging a counter attack when totally surrounded and with no ammunition left.
