Kate Hoey in the Telegraph

Indeed, lets hope that if and when we ever get our new shiny stadium, the "Safe Standing" areas have been given the thumbs up.

Oh look, there goes another flying pig...

I love this example:

How can they (the FL) justify an individual at a football match being ejected for persistently standing at a lower level in Manchester City's stadium, when the same individual can attend an Oasis concert in the same stadium, persistently stand, dance in every part of the stadium, including the steepest bits - and have no action taken against them? Why should football fans be subject to customer care issues...

Blimey - someone's talking sense.

Will anything come of this, though? I think the answer will be negative...

Kate Hoey has always talked a lot of sense. Unfotunately, since she's pro-hunting, that didn't really fit in with Tony's programme... so he replaced her as sports minister and has given us buffoons like Richard Caborn...

Additionally and unlike Caborn she has a good all round knowledge of football in particular and other sports in general.
