I think he is a stop gap. I also think he might just keep us up, only a technical coach like him would find a way of creating a mudfield that works to produce service for the strikers, because with all the will in the world that Sir CP and Ricky D had, rousing the players and backing them is not enough. This job requires a thinker. Its not a big name appointment, it might be if we stay up? Lets see the team sheet this week...

First thing Bond should be doing is giving 'Arry a ring to offer him an advisory role between now and the end of the season. Get Redknapp on the training ground. If this happens then I'm okay with this appointment as say what you like about him but the guy's a motivator and that's EXACTLY what we need if we are to perform a great escape. If this appointment ends up being Bond only then it's an awful decision from Ron and we'll very likely be back in League Two come August.

Well not my first choice but it's until the end of the season so might as well give it a go.

Appointing a manager at the end of season was the most likely case since no-one would want a relegation on their CV, so this tides things over.

He has experience at least at a high level and hopefully can bring something new Powell couldn't.
