Echo News Kevin Maher updates on Rhys Murphy injury

Except there’s no actual evidence “clearly” suggesting this.

They inherited his contract and so couldn’t be rid of him yet even if they wanted to.

They thankfully aren’t in the business of publicly slagging off players so we can’t read anything into any comments. They said plenty of good things about the likes of Dunne and Atkinson and then dumped them.

We don’t know if he’s their first choice as whilst one of their first signings was a potential replacement in Cardwell, Murphy has ever since been injured so we can’t judge if he’s in favour on team selections.

Any claims that he is or isn’t in their plans are pure guesswork.
They do seem pretty good at sorting the wheat from the chaff though. I firmly believe if they didnt rate him he would moved on, mutual consent.

I don’t think a player would accept a mutual consent unless they had a club lined up and realistically he won’t be signing for a club right now as he’s injured.

Injured perhaps, but as weve seen with coulson this year, he took a sideways move to play as he clearly wasnt in the plan, and it seems to be amicable. These things are doable if done in the right way.
