Diversity is good as is equal opportunities, but I don't like is pro discrimination.

e.g. Women only lists for mp selection, less qualified ethic minorities being selected for jobs over those who are better equipped, the black music awards, Tom Jones outwardly pro Wesh on The voice (if the English judges done this there would be an outcry!), muslim parliment for Britian, Black police federation, women only business or fitness groups (what if men had the audacity to do this?) etc.

Equal opportunites should be for all not the select few.

Now lets take a look at the white only groups:

National Front
British National Party
British First Party
England First Party

Does this seem like inequality to anyone else?

By the way I do not support any of the 'so called' white only organsistions listed but do believe that equal opportunity and respect should apply to all!

It's funny you should say that, because as a white, heterosexual male I often sit in management meetings with my 80% male (if there's a female she's usually the one taking the minutes), 95% white, 100% heterosexual (as far as I'm aware) management colleagues and think how much better I'd be doing if only I had some minority pressure group looking out for me, championing me, advancing me over more deserving candidates.

These threads are challenging to understand, live and let live is my motto.

If anyone applies to join any organisation and it is refused due to their ethnicity that is breaking the law , so equality does apply.
Because certain groups like to socialise together it does not make unequal, Look at the Masons, Rotary clubs, conservative associations, Women's institutes across the country, hardly the hotbed of multiculturalism yet anyone can join.

By the way you might want to add Stormfront (the providers of that list) to the organisations in the white only group as they label themselves as White Nationalists .
Given the source of the list , I doubt it is going to be particularly well balanced

Interestingly, the one club you left out was/is one of the hardest to become a member of. Working Man Club are a nightmare to become members of. Some of them even operate a blackball system. The one nearest to me certainly does. I only wanted to join for a cheap beer.

How the **** can a Southend fan say their life hasn't been enriched by watching the likes of Stan Collymore, Freddy Eastwood, Barry Corr and Chris Powell?

I remember a TV Movie in the 90s called Eleven Men Against Eleven in which a bunch of football fans accidentally beat up their star player one night

"Oh sorry mate, we thought you were Black"

"I am Black"

"Yeah but you're one of our Blacks"

I can't recommend it highly enough (the programme, not beating up your star player).

WAIT - IT'S ON 4 ON-DEMAND!

Am seriously thinking of giving tonight a miss and watching this again. It was virtually a documentary on supporting Southend United.

Tell me about it. It really is high time us white middle class males got a break.

No one ever asked me if I wanted to live in an ever increasing multicultural society. It is being imposed on me by those who want to be able to shift cheap labour around the world at will. I don't like most of the worlds cultures and I certainly don't want them living in my street. Immigrants should stay in their own countries, man up and try and improve them. Asylum seekers should be rigorously checked so only the genuine ones can move here. Id be happy with diversity strategies then because I wouldn't feel I'm being swamped with foreigners.

Do you vote? If you do, then you got a say. If you didn't then more fool you.

If you did vote, then you have to accept democracy, and accept that the majority get their way, not the minority.

a) Britain has always been multicultural - the immigration of the Hugenots of 1680 for example, or the Jews into the East End. I very much doubt if your ancestors are wholly from these Isles. And thanks to this, we are a richer nation for it, both economically and socially. English is an ever adapting language, taking that which is foreign and drawing it in.
You don't "like" the rest of the worlds cultures? Ok, well stop listening to pop music, drinking beer and eating curries/chinese/sushi etc etc etc.

I agree, my white middle class husband in his previous job as a prison officer once got told quite seriously by a superior that they weren't releasing enough Asian prisoners!

Out of interest could you confirm where you got that list from please?

Man up is such an overused phrase - here it seems to just mean 'do what I want' and anyone that does that is probably manning down.

This country has always had immigration and going back in recorded history, the argument you have put forward has been a well documented viewpoint. This leads me to believe that our culture has been one of perpetual change and that people select a known period as their own ideal. The only real difference now is that there is a sophisticated media reporting on every minutiae of perceived change. British culture has been, is and will always be an amalgamation of ideas from differing parts of the globe. You've just gotta get used to it and welcome the many positives and adapt to the more negative influences that you feel effect you. Here endeth the lesson. Got to love a curry.

I like different cultures. I like a ruby on a Saturday night and a fry up on a Sunday morning. But I don't like walking through Westcliff near Hamlet Court road at night.

I am a foreigner and an immigrant in the USA !!

Immigrants should stay in their own countries, man up and try and improve them.

Of course all the world's problems are because random citizens who have no political power can't be bothered to 'man up' and change the system, it has nothing to do with the fact one person can't really make a difference to their government unless they're rich and influential. If it's so easy to change how a country works why don't you 'man up' and make the government bow to your whims?
