Klopp - a whinge or the facts?

Neither in IMHO whilst not a fact as it has not happen but if the injury crisis was reversed I feel almost certainly Liverpool would have won the PL. Last season City pointed to the Laporte injury as to the reason they underperformed but Klopp has lost his three first choice centre backs for most of the season.

IMHO the lack of the distribution of goals have also cost LFC this season. Salah has 31 out of the team's 66 overall scored

It's a whinge. What he means is they are a one man defence and Salah and Mane have been poor this season compared to last! City lost Laporte for quite a while, they covered his loss with others.

In fairness Henderson has been a massive loss as well. He covers a hell of a lot of ground and is pivotal to Liverpool’s pressing game. Will be a big loss for England too if he’s not available.

Really !

How do you make Van Dijk, Gomez and Matip equal one ?. There is no squad in the world that could lose there first three choice centre backs for a vast amount of the season and not have there form suffer. Whilst Mane's form has dropped off significantly for most of the season Salah still scored twenty two PL goals so is widely immune from any criticism.

Klopp's probably right (it's a hell of a lot more than one player, they've been playing a 24 year old centre back that last season was on loan to a second tier German club, and he couldn't even cement a place in the starting XI for them so there's no way he'd be starting for Liverpool if they hadn't had an injury crisis) but that's the way football goes, Liverpool had less injuries than normal last season from what I remember which probably helped them win the title.

Tbf If Man City had lost 3 centre backs to injury they would just have signed 3 more so they probably would still have won the league.
