Kursaal Flyers v Tom McRae

Round 4

  • Total voters
    16
  • Poll closed .
McRae's confessional, self-titled debut appeared in autumn 2001, during the height of the new acoustic movement and earned him comparisons to Nick Drake and Bob Dylan. Critics raved and McRae gained nominations for the Mercury Prize, a Q magazine award and the BRIT Award for Best Newcomer.

Mcrae has a superb voice coupled with lyrics that wrench your heart, his music has featured in numerous big US tv shows and he is also responsible for bringing the Hotel Cafe over to the UK. A stunning performer with on stage wit to match. His songs really do make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Oh and they did a Peel Sessions in January 1975. I don't think McRae did.
