Breaking News Layton Ndukwu signs on season loan

Just what we need. Fast, skillful, loves a shot, greedy and two footed, loves a shot with either boot. We so need a player like this, all our midfield treat the ball like a hot potato, this will move the team up the pitch. Great work Mr Bond !

Five facts from AllNigeriaSoccer.com (May 2018)

1) Born September 7, 1998, Ndukwu is Nigeria's most loyal player at Leicester City as he has spent the last ten years of his career at the club. He joined the Foxes at the age of nine.

2) The winger is a very passionate supporter of the Super Eagles and celebrated their triumph at the 2013 African Cup of Nations, saying he's proud to be half-Nigerian.

3) Ndukwu knows how to score beautiful goals, his strike from the half-way line against Liverpool in December 2016 won him the U23 Premier League Goal of the Season for the 2016-2017 campaign.

4) He scored a perfect hat-trick for England U17s in a 4-1 win over Cyprus in a European Championship qualifier in October 2014, has also represented England U16s.

5) The 19-year-old was heavily courted by De Graafschap in the January transfer window but Leicester City blocked the move.

Liking this signing alot. Nice to borrow some young talent for a good length of time. Obviously our youngsters still get opportunities, but nothing wrong with the odd loan when it is needed.

Dru's sale helps the budget and keeps HMRC at bay. Our conveyor belt of youth players, home produced keeps rolling, and we now have leadership added to the team and I would suggest every signing made so far by Mr Bond has strengthened the squad and added something we didn't have.

All together a very positive summer, hopefully it hasn't quite ended yet and of course the squad needs to blend,.....but plenty of reasons to be upbeat. Hopefullly this also means Brandon Goodship can revert to his more natural central strike role and give us a further option there.

MR B is doing his bit to show he means business, so it's now over to us as fans to show we support what he is trying to deliver and the first home game of the season get right behind the lads and back the team 100% and unlike recent years, show them that Roots Hall can be a great place to play football and in picking the Blues, they, as players are in the right place at the right time!!
