Talking of your name Oz, didn't you used to wear Monkey Boots at that time? When most of us had Doc Martins, Steel toecap black boots,(Steve S)Loafers, Brogues, etc.

I had an old Lambretta at the time (probably 71/72?) that I used to get to Leigh Comm. I'd been given it by my Scout Master!!

I didn't get to go to Leigh Comm until about '76. Loved the discos back then when the boys used to do those great dances to 'At The Hop' which had been re-released that year. Went on for about a year or so after until I could get served in the Leigh pubs without a problem but I remember a great moment in the autumn of '77 when Dean Read did a fantastic mime dance to 'Spanish Stroll'.

God old Reggae & pre Disco songs in their infancy. Fantastic days, so many lovely memories, thank goodness i can still remember them!.
