Echo News League Two round up: Stevenage beaten and Scunthorpe draw but Southend United now sit six points from safety

Things don’t really change with our situation because for any team around us that starts picking up points there will be another on a real downturn. The important thing is to just get results ourselves which not only keeps us in touch with those above but puts us in a position to get closer to and then above those sides when they slip up.

How Cambridge fans can think we planned this COVID postponement is beyond me. It’s the only time all season we’ve gone into a game off the back of a win and I was definitely feeling more positive about things so you’d hope the players were too.

If we do get 2 weeks of postponements you just hope we’re not so far adrift by then that our games in hand become must win because the pressure on the players would then play a massive part on our results.

6 points at this stage is an absolute mountain unless we start seeing an upturn in results. Last week was a step in the right direction, let's hope it was the beginning of something and not a fluke!

For the first time in months the players would be on a high and looking forward to Saturday. There is no way it would be in our interest to call it off unless it was totally necessary.

Team sports is all about momentum and one win with a clean sheet followed by a result yesterday would have been a season changer for us.

Couldn't agree more. I just hope the EFL show as much understanding.

Now we just need to hope that a win with a clean sheet followed by a short break will be the changer instead.

We missed out on a few weeks pre season, let's try to use this to our benefit (if we can, not sure on covid regulations regarding training)

it worked out alright for Grimsby and Scunny having a short covid break, it allowed essentially a mini-preseason and players to recover from some knocks / return from injury.

For us we could end up with Macca back along with Hart and Akinola registered if the EFL drop the embargo.
