The Inland Revenue have challenged Ken Bates deal for Leeds which will hold up any transfers for LU. In a worst case scenario they could go into liquidtion if situation not resolved.

Not often one's on the side of the Tax Man !

according to there local paper yorkshireeveningpost web page the Revenues action will be laid out in a court hearing on friday morning at 1030hrs

Things are not looking that good for ken / leeds unless someone comes up
with £7.7m to bail the club out

That'll **** off Dad of Dts who last week gave nticed he'd already booked the trains!

I would have thought they'd manage to get the money from somewhere, despite their very precarious situation, so the match will probably still take place

Yes, the match off bit was a little tongue in cheek. Ken will do some nifty talking/negotiations and it will be resolved. But it could cost a few bob and cause a lot of damage to their transfer plans.
