Not content with looking like a suburb of Baghdad, this pretty much sums up the whole of Leicester...

I'm walking away from the ground by the Uni Accomodation heading on to Narsborough road for a bite to eat, and I was walking behind a Family with 2 Kids and another in a Pram.
As the Supporter coaches roll by under Police escort, The mother is getting her kids (A girl aged no more than 8, and a boy aged no more than 6) to Wave at the Fans inside the coaches. I had to laugh at this, how pathetic i thought, but what i heard next just summed up Leciester as a whole...

The Girl asked her mum "Why are they being given Police? Why are we showing them respect?". Bit strange for a kid to ask that, but her Mum just turned round and casually said "Its so the Coaches aren't bricked and the Fans executed".

Executed? F*ck Me. Sorry, I Must've mistaken Leicester for Lebanon when i was driving in. Wheres the Peace Keeping Force?

Although i suppose anybody would be forgiven for the mistake... Leicester truly does look like a War Ravaged City.

We had similar grief on the way back to the station as did a few of the AAS boys. Nothing major just a load of cocky knobs asking what the score was when they had been at the game.

Surely this all complements the travelling to away fixtures experience. At least it gives you something to remember the day by, as the footballing side of things certainly didn't.

I've only just got back from there and had a quality weekend.

Only one slightly hairy moment when, after the game, I had picked up my stuff and was walking with my mate (me in my Southend shirt and him in his Burnley one and as we turned a corner to see about twenty lads with Stone Island scattered around walking down the road. They walked on. Obviously cos they knew what was good for them.

It's not the prettiest place in the world but I suppose it helps when you have people who live locally showing you the best places to go.
