As part of the new era of openness and honesty I would like to see our politicians drop all pretense at dignity and respectability and follow this example. Most pre-election literature will be destined for the recycling whereas Labour leaflets denouncing Cameron as an Old Etonian fop-haired ****, or Tory depictions of Gordon Brown as an ill-tempered, dour, innumerate Jock tosspot might actually encourage younger generations to take an interest in politics.
