Any recommendations?.

I have seen a few people I know pass away in the last few months so I really need to get this in place...

Currently with Legal & General. Would have thought you'd already have it for your mortgage?

I got mine recently and got it through a broker (lifesearch) they were cheaper than going direct. My cover is with Aviva, much cheaper than my mortgage broker tried to sell me.

I had one linked to my Standard Life private pension, which would have paid out £100k to my family, had i died before reaching 60, then nothing afterwards. Fortunately i didn't ( dont know if my sons thought the same way! ), but point is, check out the premiums when you reach your 60's, & whether they dont nullify it then.

How about funeral insurance, it is not a cheap business dying.

Average cost of funeral these days, around £3.5 - £4,000. We were at the Undertakers this morning arranging my step dads one. Fortunately he took out a pre paid one around 20 years ago, when it cost around £1250!.

Yes, and as always there are more expenses on top, cars, flowers, vicar, printing, notice in paper, wake etc. It ain't cheap dying.
