It’s simple supply and demand. The novelty of reaching two finals in two seasons has started to wear off, which will inevitably have an adverse affect on demand for associated products. Maybe not special shirts - we all know we're spent out as far as they go. But why not T-Shirts/flags/face paints etc, instead of letting street sellers in Cardiff make money why not let the club get it instead?

Well it also comes down to the time available. To order thousands of pounds worth of products, and expect to shift them in less than 6 days would be a massive financial risk.

However, judging by the range of products already available on the imps website, it looks like they've taken a leaf out of Ron Martin’s book (who openly said he had to choose the design of the LDV final shirts a good week before the brizzie second leg), by possibly ordering the products before the semi final second leg.

To be fair, Lincoln have been destined for the playoffs for some time. Yeah, they picked up some good results but they'd have had to produce something amazing to go up via autos with their run-in and never looked likely to drop out of the playoffs.

We, on the other hand, were 1/8 favourites to go up.

For the non-betters, it's difficult to put in to words that sort of a certainty. Probably Chelsea at home to Southampton mid-season when they were steamrolling everyone.

Just because one club does something, it doesn't mean we have to follow suit. I agree with Hockley Blues. Most people can bearly afford the play-off final as it is- new merchandise is the last thing that's required!

I'd expect a range of Southend United we are going up merchendise in the Club shop if we go up though.
