Liverpool up for sale

I know weve had this debate on here in the past, but it still ****es me off that a club can exist being 237 million pounds in debt. yet clubs like ours are potentially wound u for £400k, it makes a mockery of the premier league, they should just make the championship the premiership and call the premiership the world league. Its semi farcical all these chelseal arsenal liverpool fans can take themselves seriously when they look at how many english players are in there team.

grumble....

Any one of us can exist with any imaginable amount of debt as half the population with mortgages and credit cards will know. Whether it's £50, £400k or £237m, it's not about the debt you rack up but the ability to make the agreed payments afterwards.

Liverpool seem to be more able to do so than we are... or at least less keen/motivated to play the games of brinkmanship that we have been doing lately.

Spot on mate, although I think we're just two teams playing the same set of cards on hugely different tables. If you can get over the absurdity of the notion and look at it from a certain perspective, there's a lot of parallels between Liverpool and Southend at the moment.

Picture the scene, liverpool finish fifth with man city claiming the 4th spot, man city chairman drives up to anfield bundles torres and gerrard in the back of the car and heads back to eastlands, liverpool could be up the creek here, watch this space

Don't be silly!

Liverpool won't finish 5th ;)

The sale of Torres and Gerrard to Man City won't be the problem. It's more likely to be the solution.

Exactly.

It's far more a problem when Liverpool finish 5th (if they are lucky) and then have to continue to pay Gerrard and Torres 80k a week each or whatever they are on without the Champions (sic) League revenue streams.
