A topic was posted on here, earlier this month I believe, which lead to talk about the yellow wristbands worn by many which represents Lance Armstrongs cancer charity.

I have looked at getting one for myself and have found many on ebay but I aint too keen on going down that route. Also, I've seen them on Lance's official site but don't fancy paying for the ten and waiting a month before they arrive so I was wondering if anybody knows of any sports shops around here that sell them?

If you are really that desperate to donate money to a testicular cancer charity why not find one on the internet and send them a fiver?

Or is it a fashion thing? Maybe you could make your own yellow wristband?

They're very hard to find 'offline'. Even Niketown in London has sold out. As Mad Cyril says, best just to donate directly to a cancer charity and make do without the yellow band.....

I would be quite prepared to order 10 off the LAF website & then distribute them out to any other Shrimperzoners who wanted to get hold of one for the standard £1 per wristband & not exhorbitant rates like off of eBay.

PM me if you want one!

Well it markets itself into a fashion statement, which raises awareness of the campaign. Probably Lance Armstrong's idea in the first place and what he was hoping for.

That can only be a good thing in eyes and just makes the awareness campaign to now an extent huge.

Hmmmm, didn't really know much about the wristbands or the LAF to be honest, but I'm very much a supporter of cancer charities.

May have to invest in 10 from the website and/or make a donation....

Why is it that whenever you walk into a cancer research shop there is never anyone doing any cancer research?

Or of course the old....
