Discuss / Rant....

Just watched the pilot of a dark comedy from the stable of Jessica Hynes & Julia Davis - similar in a way to Nighty Night....which I believe was shown at a reasonable hour during the week.

It was very funny, and very dark and occasionally very uncomfortable - the sort of thing the Beeb used to do with aplomb...but this was sneaked out at 11:45pm on a Saturday night...as if they were ashamed of it.

It seems after JR & RB's little antics, and an upcoming election where the Tories would scythe through the "lefty" BBC with a hatchet all we have to look forward to is middle of the road, "family friendly" dross like My Family & Big Top.

Hey ho: Catch it on Iplayer if you didn't see it, but don't watch it with Aunty Mildred.
