London grand prix?

Would be pretty interesting, whether it would make for a good race track I have doubts though.

Would be great except that whilst it's probably OK to shut down London for the race, I can't see them being allowed to close down all those roads for practice and qualifying as well.

Everyone wants to bring their sporting events to London because we're now the sporting capital of the world.

Just look at what a success the Olympics already is in terms of ticket sales; this is part of our Olympic legacy.

The NFL, NBA also love London. I've lost count of the number of premier$hite football clubs the capital has. Wembley is the most famous football stadium in the world; Lord's the most famous cricket ground; Twickenham the most famous rugby ground. Roots Hall is only an hour away by train.

Of course F1 wants to come to London. It'll help sell it to Americans!

I'd love it to be in London. On a related note, the US race in New Jersey sounds massively exciting too. As long as they're good street circuits, and not like Valencia.

There seems to be some doubt that race will ever take place.

Would be interesting if they did do something here. I'd guess they would need to build a permanant pit area somewhere first.
