I'm really struggling to remember or even think of long unbeaten records, so what is our longest unbeaten record in the league?

What was the run we went on under Tilly in the build up to the Wrexham LDV final? I thought that was quite decent? As we were beaten in extra time, I remember Tilly trying to claim it was a draw so we could keep the run going!

I seem to recall that we once went about 8 games with consecutive wins not that many seasons ago. That really is impressive. Can we do it again with all these home games coming up?

We equalled the record which is 7 I believe, then went to Doncaster and lost 2-0.

Nope it was 8 consecutive wins starting with a win against Col U and the 8th was against Nottingham Forest then we lost 2-0 to Doncaster.

As to the original question I think our longest unbeaten record is something like 17 or 18 games but that may include cup games as well. I will try and have a look later. Mind you someone might beat me to it.

Apparently its 16, look at post #8.

Ok in the League best I can find is 16 from 9th Jan 1932 to 29th August 1932. So 14 games at the end of season and 2 games at the start of following season.
The same season 1931/2 we started with 15 unbeaten as well.
Some bad results in Dec & Jan cost us dearly and we just missed out on promotion as only 2 up in those days.
