Pre-Match Thread Luton town vs Southend Utd Wednesday 5th December, Checkatrade Trophy

What's your choice for Wednesday's starting 11?

  • Total voters
    86
  • Poll closed .
back four largely picks itself with realistically only one LB in the squad (unless we don't want to rest both Turner and White)

Hyam and Klass in the middle Bunn and Macca wide
Robinson and Norm
With Dieng , Mantom and Cox on the bench as plan B along with Hutchinson and Shawn if all is going well and with Turner and Ox in case of an emergency

ok take Tim and Cox off the bench , put Kights in with Mantom as plan B and add Kelman

SOUTHEND United striker Simon Cox will miss tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy clash at Luton Town with a knee injury.

Smith
Demi Keirnan Lennon Coker
Barratt Gard Dieng Kyps
Cox Hopper

Not a bad line up - ALL unavailable
I like to think that Cox and Dieng only have "tactical" injuries, and will both be back for the game that really matters on Saturday.

Any idea how many Shrimpers making the trip (tickets sold ??)

250 ish is my guess

Reckon you'll be lucky to get 100.

Play the youths and take the fine for doing so. Focus on the league rather than this bastardised competition.

I'll definitely pay to watch on ifollow tomorrow if he plays a young side. :Thumbs up::Cool:

Hope so, a bit like the sudden Ryan Giggs ‘injury’ when he got a Wales call up.

Only difference is he feigned injury so he could nip round his brothers house, when he was out at work!

116 tickets sold as of yesterday lunchtime.
This is one match where the club will earn more out of ifollow than gate receipts! (From the away ticket sales that is & not from the whole crowd).

You know what?

I'm getting to the stage where I dread the next game.

The injuries mean we're playing whatever's left, and a win tomorrow will count for something close to a giant-killing.

I think Chris should dust off his boots; call Stan the Man while he's at it, Freddy can put down his jackhammer for the night, and anyone know what Tilly's doing?

Those 116 should be let in free. Chapeau, as Madame La CPM might dirait.
