MAHER HIT WITH BAN

If, by some chance, we come away with three points, will he be back Boxing Day?

Rhetorical question.

So all the Maher haters have got their wish - it's going to be very interesting seeing how we cope without him, particularly if Gutts isn't fit enough to start. Smith and Benno partnership in the middle then?

regardless of people's opinions on Kev, i'd definitely be worried by the prospect of a central midfield without either him or Gutts. bentley can drift out of games sometimes, and (though admittedly i haven't witnessed it first-hand) the comments on here suggest Jay isn't exactly firing on all cylinders. Hopefully Gutts will manage a miraculous recovery...

i think if gutts isn't playing we will definately struggle to get anything from the trip to huddersfield, bentley and smith are more than capable of filling in for guttridge and maher but it will be interesting to see how they perform.
also, i would like to see lawson play from the start if goater is still rested as i have always liked him and think he is a good asset to the team

Lets not kid ourselves, the way we've been playing lately we're going to get hammered at Huddersfield with or without Maher

If I was Tilson, I'd employ some motivational tactics like using Jackson's post-match comments after the game in August & hopefully stuff them back down his throat.

Who knows a Maher free midfield might open things up as he won't be picked up as the specific player to shut down.

We're due a win & although we're not playing that well, why not go up to the Galpharm & get it there.

Where's all this positivity come from on a Monday?

Last time it happened we won 3-0 in both games so we can't lose (not talking literally here) really, especially as we have been doing so poorly of late!

i remain positive and if we play to our strengths we have every chance of beating huddersfield, if we did the confidence and morale of the team will improve drastically and going into the busy christmas period this would be a huge boost.
I will be travelling to huddersfield and hopefully can play a part in spurring the lads onto a victory we so desperately need

Basically the maher-out campaigners have a chance to show they have been right by playing a team without maher who are one of the favourites for the title. It is also a chance for Jay and Beneo to perform to the capacity I know they can. But still feel it will be daunting without Maher and Gutts in the middle. Be a lot happier if Gutts somehow makes a comeback.

here here!
i look forward to seeing whether gutts does make a return, no doubt we will find out in due course if he is challenging for a place come saturday

With Maher & Gutts or without them, I'm not holding out much hope for next week anyway.

Bentley & Smith looks like a potentially good partnership to me. Its asking a lot for them to come together for the first time in a match like that though. And if we do get anything from the game it'll be interesting to see whether Tilly brings Kev straight back in.

I personally think we could go there and win. We are on a good run and scoring for fun. Our defence is solid and we have no reason to be afraid. We are top of the league at the moment and look on course to carry on our record winning run! And with Goater proving the doubters wrong, still waiting for Freddy to get back into the side and Gutts proving why we spent so much money on him we could win this easily!

Shrimperzone don't do time machines. But if they did, they would probably be the best time machines in the world.

I'd be back at Cardiff the night before our first appearance. Happy days.

I hold out absolutely no hope of even getting a point at Huddersfield. Therefore I hope that Smith, Bentley and the lads rise to the occaision and prove me wrong.

I'd go back to the night we slaughtered Charlton 3-0 at the Valley in the mid 90's
