Manager Sacking and Appointment Thread

Dean Keates leaves Wrexham after failing to get them in the play offs yesterday.

Rumours going around that Poch might return to Tottenham

He finished 3rd with them in a 2 horse race, then went to France and didn’t win the league with the team that ALWAYS win the league, with two of the best players in the world.

Now Spurs want him back, they don’t want to spend money on players and Kane is off. Couldn’t make it up.

More likely to end up at Real Madrid I'd've thought.

On the other hand they got to the CL final with him and seem to have gone downhill since. Kane is an interesting one as he never seems to show up for “big” games for Spurs or England. Hopefully that’ll change in the Euros!

got more chance of winning the Champions League at PSG, but rumoured to have fallen out with Leonardo the sporting director/DoF or whatever he is. Like Flick at Bayern, seems mad to me but whatever.

Not an appointment or sacking but can’t believe 9 managers have now turned down the chance to manage Tottenham.

All sorts of jokes going around on WhatsApp, most of which not repeatable on here....

My fav today was the news that Matt Hancock had turned the job down as he didn't want to cause any embarrassment to his family

Scott Parker has gone to Bournemouth.

Meanwhile it sounds like Rafa Benitez will become Everton manager.

It's rare for a manager to manage two top sides in the same city, but if Benitez is appointed he will manage it. It was said when he left Liverpool that his wife didn't want to go as she loved the city.

Indeed, especially when you consider the rivalry. Benitez got a tough time from the Chelsea fans despite doing a good job I think.

Mourinho at Chelsea and Tottenham comes to mind. Clough at Forest and Derby, I know not the same city but they are close. Harry Redknapp with the unique south coast trio Bournemouth, Portsmouth, and Southampton as well as the London trio of QPR, West Ham, and Tottenham.

Nuno Espírito Santo in at Spurs. Good appointment to be fair.

Strange, I thought he turned them down and he was very close to being appointed Palace manager.

How long before he signs half the Portugal national side?

Vieira has agreed terms to be the next Palace manager.
