Managers getting huge pay outs after doing a crap job!!

Frank Lampard was sacked at Chelsea and recieved a huge payout and then after a while he went to Everton.
He is on the verge of being sacked again.

So he does a crap again and picks up yet another fortune.

I wish that I could get the sack and end up a very rich man.

What are your thoughts about this sort of thing happening to managers?

Similar for CEO's of large companies. Reward for failure.

For football I guess its down to owners to offer contracts that perhaps have some kind of performance metrics in it that allow for termination with minimal compensation if performance is poor

A football manager is often sacked due to poor performances of players but they are the ones to take the blame.

They turn up and work countless hours, do nothing wrong in terms of their contract of employment and still get fired. In any other business that would be unfair dismissal.

Paying up their contract is the least they can expect.

A contract is a contract and should be honoured unless (1) an amicable compromise is agreed upon by both parties . ( 2 ) or said manager brings the club into disrepute by his actions. (3 ) or the owner ,chairman fails in his duty towards the manager ,eg paying of wages ,not living up to promises made as part of the contract etc.
